I enjoy working with students
helping them find their own personal potential. I am privileged to be part of a successful educational team that helps students develop knowledge and skills that will in the future provide them with life options. I find it rewarding being part of students lives watching them grow mature and have success. I love coaching Track and am all about “personal growth” encouraging students to work hard and strive to be mentally and physically better than they were the day before.
When I am not teaching or coaching I want to be in the woods the water or playing in the dirt. I admit I am a “River Rat” and consider the Lower Wisconsin Driftless area one of the best places to live in the world, feeling blessed to be able to live and work and raise a family in its beauty. I have a diverse set of interests beyond hunting, fishing and farming that include cooking, art, music, sports and “geeky stuff”.
Quirky facts about me:
Was on PBS TV “Outdoor Wisconsin” with Dan Small,
talked with Ted Nugent about hunting,
tagged catfish on the Wisconsin River,
shot Asian “flying carp” on the Illinois river,
harvested deer in 4 states, and 2 countries,
drove 36 hours to Quebec where people live in tee-pees,
almost downed in the Wisconsin river,
have never been to an ocean,
had 2 Great Grandpa’s that drove pre 1920’s Indian motor cycles,
Love coaching pole vault,
and think I am a good cook.
If you’re going to be stupid you better be tough!
